The East Bank is a new mixed-use building on a key site in the River District of the City of Elkhart, Indiana. Positioned as a gateway to the district, it is located on E. Jackson Boulevard where it crosses the Elkhart River. Visible from the city’s Riverwalk, the three-story commercial building has an iconic design composed of generously-scaled arched bays above a traditional stone base. It includes retail uses on the ground floor and new office space on the second and third floors. A stone cornice above the brick facades of the upper stories completes the composition and alludes to classical precedents.
