New Public Housing in Hudson

This proposal for new public housing in Hudson, NY, replaces the city's existing social housing contined within Bliss Towers. MountCo Development intends to build the new development in two phases: the first phase will accommodate existing tenants on the site, and the second phase will create 100 additional units. These low-scale apartment blocks are organized around an expansive internal courtyard that eventually will be designed as a public park. The three blocks of four-story buildings are organized on the exterior to give the appearance of townhouses with a rhythm of bay windows to break down the scale of the blocks. The proposed park will have numerous amenities including ball courts, children’s play areas, a dog run, and a pedestrianized street to create a sense of community. We are design architects for the project, with Aufgang Architects as architects of record.
