House in Jupiter

Located on the Intracoastal Waterway in Florida, this large house on a small, narrow site explores the border between classicism and modernism. Monumental front and rear exterior facades establish formal dialogues with both the street and waterway. The rigorously geometric program creates strong perspectival views that seamlessly integrate the architecture with the landscape and horizons of both the sky and water. Clad in white, hand-troweled stucco, the house becomes an alabaster vessel of energy and light.
