Young Israel of Scarsdale

This project is a significant renovation and expansion of an existing Orthodox Synagogue in Scarsdale, New York. The original landmarked Sanctuary was preserved while outdated sections of the complex were demolished and replaced. The program included enlarging the social hall and entrance, improving circulation, and adding new classrooms, kitchens, chapel, and pre-function spaces. In addition, women’s and men’s mikvahs, a youth lounge, and an outdoor playground were incorporated. Due to zoning and city easements, the site required careful planning. Construction is scheduled for later in 2026.
