Sag Harbor House

This harbor-side design is a modern interpretation of a shingle-style lodge. The four-bedroom house comprises two pavilions connected by a bridge that creates a sheltered entrance and viewing platform, framing views of Sag Harbor Bay.

The interior has been carefully designed to reflect the family's needs. A great room defines the home’s social core, composed of the living and dining spaces bookended by two stone fireplaces. This space opens on one side to a double-height kitchen and on the other to an expansive outdoor terrace with a pool that is visible immediately and forms part of vista that includes the Bay beyond. An outdoor pergola connects the house to the pool. A more private, wood-paneled rustic den is housed in the adjoining wing beneath the master bedroom suite. In the entry hall, the staircase has balusters made from birch branches, contributing to the airy and cheerful ambiance of the interiors.
