Charles Demuth at the Whitney exhibition

Alex Gorlin created a dynamic set for an exhibition of Charles Demuth's paintings at the Whitney Museum.

The design allowed the audience to see the exhibition through a series of viewing windows cut into the gallery walls. Observing Demuth's work through these windows provided a non-linear experience that challenged the viewer's interpretation of an exhibition space as well as the artist's work.
